So that’s why I’ve been feeling so shitty lately. Turns out it’s not my fault—it’s my HOA’s. According to CSN professor Gary Solomon, homeowners associations do far more than just send you annoying letters about non-compliance—they now cause a new psychiatric anxiety disorder called HOA Syndrome in which sufferers feel “harassed, stalked and threatened” by said HOAs. Now, I’m not normally one to jump on board the “reduce every human emotion to a syndrome” bandwagon, but this one’s damn tempting. After all, I’m reduced to a puddle of sweat whenever I pull one of their letters out of my mailbox. You too? Hear more about this when Solomon speaks at CSN October 15 from 6-8 p.m. Call 812-4599 for more details. Just don’t tell your HOA you’re going.
