This week in irony: Actor Douglas Brian Irvin Jr., who played a cop on CSI, was arrested for impersonating a police officer. Allegedly, Irvin Jr. arranged for a masseuse to meet him at a Hooters hotel room. Once she got there, Irvin began to touch her inappropriately, then offered her $10,000 for sex. She said yes. Then the actor pulled out a laminated identification card that said “Police” on it—because that’s what cops use—and he told the woman that she could either go to jail or have sex with him for free. She picked the sex. Two days later, the woman figured things out and went to the real police. When Irvin was arrested, he denied that he’d impersonated an officer. Then the police found his fake police identification card. Irvin said it was from CSI and that he might have accidentally flashed it at some point during the encounter.
