Can you hear us now?
The American Civil Liberties Union is taking Nevada police to task for not always obtaining property court approval to track the movements of people through their cell phones. While we understand—and support—the tracking of suspects through whatever legal means necessary, it’s disturbing to know that the law is being abused. We’re in an age where everyone knows where everyone is—the slope doesn’t get much slipperier than this.

Grin and bare it
The most recent issue Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is tackling? TSA agents. Reid says he plans to send a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano to demand airport security “smile and say hello.” As frequent travelers, we can certainly say TSA agents are a pretty humorless bunch. But at the same time, we can’t say we feel much safer with forced happiness either. Ever see the David Lynch-esque video for “Black Hole Sun”? Yeah, like that.

April is Infertility Awareness Month, and what better way to commemorate the occasion than with free in vitro fertilization? The Sher Fertility Institute is donating a treatment to one local couple as part of an April 25 seminar at Spring Valley Hospital. Granted, in vitro is not cheap, but it still seems strange to think of a possible pregnancy as a ... raffle prize.
