Need help finding a parking spot for Vegas StrEATS on Saturday? Last week, the City of Las Vegas debuted a free iPhone app that provides a guide to Downtown parking garages, a form for reporting incidents and access to the city’s current news releases. It won’t alert you when a spot opens up on Carson, or tell you the current wait time at Le Thai (hey, a girl can dream), but it will direct you to the Neonopolis garage’s 572 spaces available for $1 per hour! And if you hit a pothole on the way, just report it with the app. And if a kindly stranger under the Fremont Street Experience offers you a winning sports book ticket that all but guarantees a life of luxury, comfort and flying private … well, there’s a different app for that: Twitter.
