Media mogul and former chancellor of the Nevada System of Higher Education Jim Rogers died Saturday after a battle with cancer, as the Las Vegas Sun reported on Sunday. The longtime Las Vegas resident, owner of Intermountain West Communications, the operator of Las Vegas' NBC affiliate, was 75 years old.
Weekly caught up with Rogers ahead of 2011's Barrett-Jackson auto auction, as the successful businessman and education advocate was also quite the car enthusiast, owning a collection of 300 vehicles worth approximately $19 million. Read on for our chat with Rogers, who gave Weekly a special tour of his elaborate "car barn."
