Not all Downtown bars are created equal. Sure, each watering hole has its charm, but everyone’s got the places they frequent—and those they don’t. Well, the bars and restaurants of Fremont East are doing away with the rivalry every Wednesday in May when they come together for a new street festival dubbed Wednesdays Downtown, launched this week by DTLV and Jolene Mannina’s Relish. During the festival, roads will be closed to traffic at Las Vegas Boulevard and Sixth Street, allowing bar-hoppers to check out all Fremont has to offer—from staples like the Griffin and Beauty Bar to newcomers like Inspire. And with drink specials from 6 p.m. to midnight, we’re pretty excited for Fremont’s boozy block party, too.
