Sunday-Thursday, 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m.; Friday & Saturday, 10 a.m.-10 p.m.

The first evidence of popcorn dates back to Native Americans some 5,000 years ago, but they weren’t nibbling flavors like Dirty Vegas and Chocolate Piggy. Those are two options at Popped, a three-week-old gourmet popcorn shop that sells a rotating menu of 15 sweet and savory flavors ranging from classics like salt and vinegar to the aforementioned Piggy—a chocolate and bacon combo that goes mercifully easy on the swine.

Sold by the bag or the cup, Popped’s corn can also be frozen with liquid nitrogen, so a little puff of smoke erupts from your mouth with each chilly bite. Me? I like mine thawed, and preferably with some entertainment. Perhaps Popped could set up an outpost inside Town Square’s Rave. I’ll take two for Rise of the Planet of the Apes and a bag of the loaded baked potato, please.
