In this series of monthly meetings, we will be looking at what prevents us from really being happy, and Buddhist advice that we can use in practical ways in daily life to increase our inner peace and happiness. Using the book How to Transform Your Life by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso we will explore ancient wisdom and meditation techniques that are keys to living a more peaceful, purposeful and happy life. Each class starts with a guided breathing meditation, followed by practical instructions on the topic, finishing with a final meditation and time for questions. July 22: The Search for Satisfaction: Looking for happiness where it can be found Suitable for everyone, these meditation classes offer practical methods to improve the quality of our lives through meditation and Buddhist teachings. Each class is available by drop in and you can come to either the entire series each month or by individual class. Each class is self-contained. This program is not a Library District event. The views expressed and other information presented are solely those of the producing entity. No age limit, but these classes are geared primarily towards adults, not children. However, well-behaved and mature children are certainly welcome to attend with parent supervision.
