Dream Zone

In my dream my husband and I were jammed in a shopping cart, and he was telling my mom to set us on fire. I was wondering if we should take some aspirin or a shot of whiskey, or something, because this was going to hurt. And shouldn’t we rearrange ourselves in the cart so that we can at least be hugging as we died? We decided there were too many questions to be answered, so we’d wait just a bit, but only a bit.

Lauri:Is there something in your life that you and hubby are getting “burned out” on? Or is there anything that is “burning you up,” causing you anger? The shopping cart is a clue. Perhaps it is your spending or maybe even your diet. Your mom is the one who must do the deed because she represents the part of you that knows what is best. Just as you decided, at the end of the dream, to try again later, what have you decided to put on hold in real life? Your dream may be telling you to be patient.

Terry replies: There are many things I am burned out on and burning up about! I’m burned out on my diet. I’ve been on medication that has caused me to gain 30 pounds and I can’t lose it. I’m burned out on work. Work feels like a waste of time to me now, because it’s keeping me from doing things I enjoy! I’ve been trying to write a book but have put it on hold because I just can’t find the time to devote to it. I want so much to retire so I can write, but I still have 2 1/2 years before I can.
