Laraine Kaizer-Viazovtsev, violinist with the Las Vegas Philharmonic, has fiddled her way around town and back since moving here a few years ago with her husband, flutist Alexander Viazovtsev.

Kaizer-Viazovtsev calls herself a strolling musician, but usually she’s parked amid an ensemble performing Debussy, Prokofiev and Shostakovich in churches, auditoriums, theaters, living rooms and other spaces that can accommodate chamber music. On December 17, she performs jazz with guitarist Richard Forrester at Brett Wesley Gallery.

One night later, guitarist Michael Chapdelaine, a classical and finger-style performer with a repertoire ranging from bluegrass to Bach, plays the E-String Grill & Poker Bar. Joining him onstage will be local classical guitarist Kasey Carmody.
