Less a look at how the law works than an unfiltered examination of the human condition, the Vegas-set documentary series Sin City Law returns with the two-part “Gladys’ Choice” (Sundance Channel, February 19 & 26, 9 p.m.), which carries on Season 1’s high standards (the original eight episodes will begin re-airing the following week).

“Choice” follows the nearly three-year legal saga of battered spouse Gladys Perez, arrested along with her boyfriend in the brutal killing of her 3-year-old daughter, discovered in a Dumpster. You might not see Perez’s fate coming, but it ultimately feels appropriate. If we’re judging shows by how much time you spend screaming your outrage over our societal ills at the screen, then Sin City Law is must-scream TV.
