The Details

Time to show some love to the girls who keep up with the guys in the local music scene. Sprung from an idea by Dirty Panties drummer Jacquie Brown, the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun! showcase will gather Vegas bands with female members onstage at the Beauty Bar on June 6.

Attendees will be treated to performances by Ministry of Love, The Objex, The Dirty Panties and Boss City Sounds. GJWHF also nods to chicks who’ve been involved in the scene since Ronnie Vannucci was in Attaboy Skip. There’s Fusion Productions owner Danielle Robertson, photographer Capra Jensen (who’ll be on hand with a photo booth at the show) and yours truly, who frequently sold merch in a bar (while still underage) just to see bands play ... and made balloon animals at ska shows (don’t ask).
