Emergency Arts already boasts a coffee stop that turns into a tavern at night, art galleries, a zine library, a salon and the Burlesque Hall of Fame. What more could this Fremont East District building offer?

Yoga!

Today marks the grand opening of Vegas Zen Yoga—the brainchild of longtime yogi David Oliphant and personal trainer James K. Wong. A celebration is slated for tonight from 6 p.m. to midnight, as part of the First Friday festivities Downtown. In a statement, Wong said the studio is “committed and passionate about creating a yoga practice that is progressive, diverse and dedicated to helping you create your own space.” The intimate studio plans to offer classes and workshops including partner yoga dates, small group personal training and something called “rejuvenation weekends.” Who couldn’t use a bit of that?
