THE DREAM ZONE

with Lauri Quinn Loewenberg

I'm with coworkers outside. A large flock of crows flies toward us. The lead crow has a red piece of cloth in its beak and drops it on top of me. I woke up right after that.

LuAnne, 49

Lauri: When our dreams happen outside, it means we need to get something "out in the open." This might be work-related since your coworkers were present. Crows are associated with bad news and omens. Do you have a bad feeling about something? The crows flew over you. Usually, anything above you represents a goal you're trying to reach or someone you "look up to," perhaps an authority figure. Perhaps you've got a bad feeling about a boss. The red piece of cloth is VERY significant, telling you to be cautious or even put a stop to something.

LuAnne replies: I do have a bad feeling about my boss. I've been with the forest service for 26 years, but for the first time I have a boss I can't work with. I've been in mediation with him, but I'm getting another job. I've had a hard time deciding to leave an agency I love and given my heart and soul to. But you eventually have to consider yourself over your loyalty to the agency.

ARIES
(March 20-April 19)

Watch the banker. People are there for you this week. Jupiter sends a wink to the sun today, a very positive transit, bringing the energy to share your dreams. If working behind the scenes, this could be a favorable time to unveil your project. On Sunday evening, the moon moves into Virgo, where it will reach the full stage Tuesday afternoon and become the star in a lunar eclipse a few minutes later. Also Tuesday, Mercury gives Jupiter a nudge. The universe is presenting the opportunity for a few of your dreams to become reality. This is not the week to be lazy. Get active and chat with others.

TAURUS
(April 19-May 20)

You don't take change easily. Join friends, spend time with groups or clubs. Talk to business partners and personal friends. Jupiter aspects the sun, which is a very lucky event because people will share your ideas and listen to your wishes. Relationships get high marks this week. Oh, back to your fear of change. Lunar eclipse. Eclipses bring change and this could clip in some of your creative ideas. The moon is very friendly to your sun, so those two may kick up a little dust in the barnyard. Today begins the week as Jupiter brings opportunity your way. Wave your horns and smile. No red flags this week.

GEMINI
(May 21-June 21)

Today begins with the sun winking conspiratorially at Jupiter. All eyes are on you, especially those in authority. Your career house is on full beam. Mars in your sign sends energy and action that allow you to chat with those in the career department. An award or honor could flow your way. The eclipse on Tuesday lands in the homefront and the moon is happy in your fourth house, its home, as it signals the sun. You feel lots of energy, and maybe a little anxiety. You have every right to analyze things while the moon is in Virgo late Sunday through the eclipse and the full moon on Tuesday. You may get a little windy as the universe sends all that energy. As the week closes, Jupiter squares off with Neptune, so Wednesday is not the day to share your dreams or philosophy regarding your daily work.

CANCER
(June 21-July 22)

The moon is the ruler of your sign, bringing emotion when it visits. The moon becomes full in Virgo on Tuesday and brings a good opportunity for communicating. We also have a lunar eclipse a few minutes after the full moon in Virgo, bringing an opportunity to communicate with brothers and sisters. Build sand castles and work off your energy. Venus in Aquarius may bring the opportunity to chat with the banker and check on joint resources. Today is a wonderful day to share knowledge with coworkers. You may have your hands—er, claws—full with big business. Many of you will make vacation plans for later in the spring, which begins next week.

LEO
(July 22-Aug. 22)

The sun hooks up with Jupiter in one nice aspect. In fact, the universe sends a burst of energy and since you're a fire sign, you could use that energy in a positive way. People are waiting for your call, or you may hear from someone on the homefront. Saturday brings another opportunity to chat. The moon arrives in Virgo on Sunday night, presenting an opportunity to look at your values. This reaches its full phase on Tuesday and communicates with the sun before the two team up for a lunar eclipse shortly after the full moon. This eclipse last occurred March 14, 1987. If you're an older lion, you may remember what happened then as you roar down Memory Lane. Jupiter and Mercury tell you to look for opportunities, communicate with people. Great time to buy or sell. Your banker is friendly with this aspect.

VIRGO
(Aug. 22-Sept. 22)

The moon floats into your sign late Sunday afternoon. Today, the sun and Jupiter make one nice aspect. Lady Luck is on your side. This is a fabulous day to chat with people in the relationship department, both business-wise and personally. No need to analyze this, the universe does it for you. Talk with loved ones. A few Virgos may have to dig deep into the Earth for an answer, but if you're old enough to remember back to March 14, 1987, you'll get a hint of how this aspect will affect you. This eclipse was last in your sign at this same degree on that date. On Saturday, keep your words soft and tender in case you have to eat them, especially in conversations with authority figures. Find a Leo friend and share your dreams.

LIBRA
(Sept. 22-Oct. 22)

You might feel the need to balance something, but hold back. Jupiter and your sun make this one happy time. You can discuss your values concerning daily work, as well as chores. Jupiter also brings money opportunities. You sometimes have a hard time making decisions. Just relax, let the universe shine the light. This could also be a wonderful time to talk about real estate, both buying and selling or getting a license. Venus sails into your house of creativity, and love could flow your way. Big day Sunday, when the moon moves into Virgo, setting the scene for a full moon on Tuesday followed by a lunar eclipse a few minutes after the full phase. That could bring a change in you daily work. Better job opportunities may flow your way.

SCORPIO
(Oct. 22-Nov. 22)

Jupiter dwells in your sign, dear Scorpio, detective of the zodiac. Pull out your spyglass and watch Jupiter conspire with the sun. The sun now pays rent to your house of luck, love and creativity, so this is one lucky aspect. You may get lazy, or you can do something. Get ready for the full moon. I know you water signs—Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces—may feel the energy on a higher level and do indeed sometimes become more emotional. Chill out. The moon arrives in sister earth sign Cancer on Sunday. On Tuesday, the moon becomes full and within a few minutes, a lunar eclipse occurs at 24th of Virgo. All you Scorpios born within a few degrees of the 24th will feel this the most, but we all benefit from the eclipse. Eclipses allow the old to flow out and the new to flow in. Expect the unexpected in the department of hopes, wishes and desires.

SAGITTARIUS
(Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Jupiter, your ruling planet, smiles at the sun. This is one happy setup. Luck on the homefront today. Mars sends energy to your daily work. Share your knowledge. Look ahead to Tuesday. Lunar eclipses bring career opportunities. The full moon lights up your career house as the moon becomes the center of an eclipse. Go back to this date in 1987. If you're old enough, you may get the drift of what's in store. Eclipses bring changes. Your ruling planet is in contact with Mercury a couple of hours before the full moon and eclipse. Jupiter in your 12th house is your ace in the hole, and it could win the hand for you. Great time for communication, courtesy of the sun and the moon. Mars and Neptune bring an opportunity to work with coworkers, and those in authority take notice of your helpfulness to others. Smile, Sag. The planets rule in your favor this week.

CAPRICORN
(Dec. 21-Jan. 21)

The sun is working with Jupiter, and, indeed, people from your groups and clubs invite you to communicate. Someone wants you to share your ideas and hear about your hopes and wishes. Mars brings action from your children, or perhaps the inner child, as you share your ideas. Many of you may change your shingle and find new energy with the eclipse. Go back to March 14, 1987. Whatever occurred then will give an idea of what to expect from this eclipse. Be careful about money matters while Neptune visits your money house. This is the year you are more connected with your partner. The solar eclipse brings happy news to the homefront within the next two weeks, just after spring arrives. Please remember, dear little goat, that eclipses bring different mountains to climbs, and you will receive the good news as your changes come about.

AQUARIUS
(Jan. 21-Feb. 20)

Career opportunities. Jupiter and the sun have a plan. I know you are the "I know" of the zodiac, but hush, little genius, I do have something to share. This is one fortunate transit. We are talking about sun in the money and value department while the largest planet in the solar system, Jupiter, speaks from your career department. Good news arrives as the week flows on. Mercury, Mr. Communication, joins up with Jupiter to provide you with an opportunity to deal with real estate and a few personal things you value. On Sunday, as the moon journeys into Virgo, you may feel more intense, then the full moon arrives on Tuesday followed within minutes by a lunar eclipse. You may be drawn to powerful people. Mars in Gemini gives you the opportunity and energy to venture into new creative fields. Go back to the March 14, 1987, eclipse and you may see what could occur. Remember, Jupiter, the Santa Claus planet, is working with both the sun and Mercury this week.

PISCES
(Feb. 20-March 22)

Happy birthday, fishies. Your pond lights up this week with a full moon, and minutes later an eclipse begins in your house of relationship. Opportunity flows in and higher knowledge is on the agenda, either through travel or books or returning to school. Jupiter joins up with both your sun and Mercury. A great opportunity. If you are a lazy fish, you may miss the big catch. Mars brings energy for both shortand long-distance travel. This is a terrific week to share your ideas. Early-birthday Pisces experience Saturn's lessons, forcing you to get organized. Make your annual birthday wish as well as your monthly wish before the full moon arrives Tuesday.
