THE DREAM ZONE

with Lauri Quinn Loewenberg

I dreamed I was in an all-male prison. I was with a black man I trusted and we were trying to escape. We squeezed through a hole in a closet and fell into a sandpit. As I was squeezing through a hole in a fence to get out, I woke up.

Katie, 40

Lauri: Are you feeling trapped, or "squeezed out" of some area of your life? The all-male prison points to issues with a particular man or even several men. The unknown black man is your ability to get out of this tough situation. People of different races in dreams often stand in for parts of our personality we suppress. It's this unknown part of your personality that you may need to call upon in the future, so embrace the black men in your dreams! You escape through a closet, which symbolizes secrecy. Do you secretly want out of something? Falling off the wall is your fear of failure, getting stuck again (the sandpit). But you made it through, which means you've freed yourself in waking life!

Katie replies: At the time of my dream, my boss left the company. She always kept me informed and depended on me to organize meetings and luncheons. The man who stepped in viewed me as a gofer. I felt trapped and began looking for other employment when I realized: This is only temporary, I can make it through the next few weeks.

ARIES
(March 20-April 19)

Mercury enters the sign of the bull this week, so you may be stubborn about what you value, but people are there for you. Monday is Cinco de Mayo, commemorating Mexico's 1862 victory over the French in the Battle of Puebla. Saturday is the run for the roses at the Kentucky Derby. On Sunday, expect energy from other people resulting from a rare aspect called a grand water trine, with Mars involved a triangle with Jupiter and Uranus. All three planets will be in water signs 120 degrees apart. Expect the unexpected. Action and sudden opportunity arrive on the home front. Venus is in your sign, receiving help from Saturn. Share your creative ideas with others this week. Watch your emotions when Pluto squares off with the moon on Monday. Don't argue with a female involved in a relationship.

TAURUS
(April 19-May 20)

Mercury roars into your sign Friday. Don't be bullheaded regarding communications. You may feel restricted on the home front. A rare grand water trine occurs in the sky on Sunday. You may have a conversation with a sibling about relationships. Communication is encouraged with clubs and organizations. Okay, little bull, we know you tend to paw the earth and snort, but you have some ideas you can share with others that are nothing to sniff at. Happy birthday—and when you set your goal for the month, you can also set one for the next year, something you want to accomplish before your next birthday. This is one of those weeks when you expect the unexpected. On Saturday, a bunch of horses may have you little bulls glued to your seats as they run in the Kentucky Derby. Uranus and Jupiter may send a business opportunity your way.

GEMINI
(May 21-June 21)

On Sunday, great opportunity flows your way with a grand water trine. A perfect triangle in the sky involves all water signs. A sudden opportunity arises to share your values, career-wise. On Saturday, a few of you air signs may find yourself watching the horses run like the wind at the Kentucky Derby. Saturn sets up the structure for a nice way to communicate with groups, clubs and organizations, and that's no problem for a communicator like you. On Sunday, go ahead and share your ideas with people. Sudden career opportunities may appear. Now make your wish and set a goal or two before the full moon arrives next week.

CANCER
(June 21-July 22)

Wave your claws at that grand water trine in the heavens in the three water signs. Mars brings action to the trine aspect that it forms with Jupiter and Uranus. This could explain why you feel a tad emotional. It's Go-Baby-Go in Louisville, as the thoroughbreds run for the roses. Enjoy yourself this week. Venus smiles on your career department. Creative ideas flow. Share your higher knowledge. Spend Wednesday by yourself. Find a quiet place on the beach. Go fishing. But keep your words soft. Not a good day to meet with the banker.

LEO
(July 22-Aug. 22)

This is a good weekend for having fun. Cinco de Mayo is Friday, and for you little kittens who enjoy hanging around the horse barn, it is Kentucky Derby time. You fire signs are the gamblers of the zodiac, so place your bets and then watch the horses burn up the track. With Mars anchoring a grand water trine in the sky, an opportunity could occur suddenly on the home front. Others bring action to a project you may be working on behind the scenes. The window of growth, luck and opportunity is open. Venus visits the space in your chart for travel and Saturn is providing structure. Enjoy fun with the family this week, since you probably feel a little restricted in your career department. You don't want a conversation with the big cat at work this week. Next week brings Mama Cat's day.

VIRGO
(Aug. 22-Sept. 22)

Residents of your sister earth sign, Taurus, are celebrating birthdays this month. The water signs keep your grass green, and this week a rare aspect occurs on Sunday—a grand water trine. Yes, a triangle in the sky linking Jupiter, Uranus and Mars in the three water signs. Watch your emotions in the relationship department. You may get an unexpected opportunity to share your ideas, goals, hopes and wishes with other people. Venus swished into the sign of Aries this week. Venus could haul in some money through business partners, a banker or a financial institution. The time is right to seek a loan or financial support. Venus will help you relate to people and events through others. Speaking of green grass, or perhaps bluegrass, the horses are running at Churchill Downs this weekend.

LIBRA
(Sept. 22-Oct. 22)

A grand water trine, little peacemaker, lands in your house of daily work, career and earned income on Sunday. This is a rare aspect as the planets make a triangle in the heavens above. Lucky you. Now watch your emotions. This time the window for opportunity is open. Do not let it pass you by. Venus puts a spark in your relationships. Love and money opportunities could flow your way. Take a little time off and enjoy yourself. Cinco de Mayo is celebrated on Friday, and on Saturday, it's the Run for the Roses. Sometimes you have trouble making decisions, so be sure to pick your horse and place your bet before the race starts. And by the way, Mars has a tip for Jupiter that could send action and opportunity to increase your money as well. Make your wish for the month. Full moon next week.

SCORPIO
(Oct. 22-Nov. 22)

Expect the unexpected in fun, love, creativity and children. Action and energy flow from Mars. This could bring new activities and encounters, and Uranus says to expect the unexpected. Jupiter brings the opportunity for growth, luck and fun. Those three fellows will form a triangle in the heavens on Sunday. Yep, a space triangle as water signs Cancer and Pisces join up with your water sign, dear Scorpio. Avoid arguments with those in authority this week. Go out and dig up some fun this weekend, Mr. Detective. Friday is Cinco de Mayo and Saturday is the Kentucky Derby. You've probably already solved Saturday's tip sheets. Venus enters Aries. Take it easy on sweets. Do not eat too much Derby pie. Taurus lights up your space of relationships. Sing happy birthday to the little bulls. Remember they need your water to help their grass grow, and someday you may yearn for greener pastures.

SAGITTARIUS
(Nov. 22-Dec. 21)

Jupiter, your ruling planet, gets action and energy from other people as you join in a family celebration this week. Sunday night if you look at the heavens you will see a triangle—a grand water trine that forms as Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces get a visit from Mars, Jupiter and Uranus. Expect surprises on the home front. Great time to get away from your daily work. I know a few of your fellow employees are a little bullheaded. Your Taurus pals celebrate their birthday for the next two weeks or so. They're earth signs and they really enjoy seeing all that water in the grand trine. Saturn and Venus are encouraging you to take a journey and have a little fun with the children. Yes indeed, hold the arrow, but you may throw a dart at the tip sheet to pick your Kentucky Derby horse. Fun around Derby City this week.

CAPRICORN
(Dec. 21-Jan. 21)

A great week for communication, so why not communicate a birthday wish to a Taurus? Loads of energy from personal/business relationships. Your groups, clubs and organizations encourage you to share your ideas with them. Venus lights up the home front. Love is in the air. Neptune is opposite Saturn. Do not let others restrict your income or shared resources this week. The sun shines on creativity, love and children, and where you take time out to play. Yes indeed, business is the main topic on the home front. The Kentucky Derby arrives on Saturday. You are the hardest- working guy in the zodiac, but surely you can take the time to at least watch the Derby. Look to the heavens on Sunday and see if you can find the triangle in the sky. Three of the planets are in water signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces.

AQUARIUS
(Jan. 21-Feb. 20)

Mercury moves into the sign of Taurus on Friday. This should produce some chatter on your home front. Mercury is the director of communications. No need to be bullheaded. Go with the flow. Mars hooks up with the sun. Some of your daily work may come from the home front. This could be a nice aspect for you little geniuses who deal with real estate. Jupiter winks at Mars. Career opportunities could appear. Yes indeed, things occur suddenly this week. Salary increases may flow your way. This should give you something besides horses to cheer about on Kentucky Derby Saturday.

PISCES
(Feb. 20-March 22)

You may get a sudden urge to pack up the children and love in your life this week and travel. Grand water trine can be seen on Sunday when three planets form a rare triangle in the sky. A Venus in Aries sends a cash flow from your daily work. Also a great time to call a Taurus friend who's celebrating a birthday. Taurus has two more weeks to celebrate. It's the first Saturday in May at Churchill Downs on Saturday. Neptune allows you to share a few dreams, so maybe you're dreaming about picking the Kentucky Derby winner. Mars brings action for a creative venture, and this can be accomplished through travel and higher knowledge.
