Profile: Javie arrived in Downtown Vegas in June 2001 and—thinking he was on the Strip—stopped right where Beauty Bar now stands and asked where the MGM was. He loves the vagabond life and has since called Vegas home twice, as well as Beverly Hills, Detroit, Dallas and Grand Rapids.
Why I Do What I Do: "There is a lot of history right there on Fremont Street. I really like that they're building that back up. It's really great for Downtown. I like being a part of that."
Personal Tidbit: Javie's hobbies meander. From spinning plates at work to basketball, ballroom dancing, comic books and collecting life stories. He once stayed in a homeless shelter in Chicago just to see what it would be like to be judged by his appearance.
