Taking it to The Bank

“Women of the night”—what it means

To the Urban Dictionary: Collectively describing women who professionally use their bodies for monetary gain, also known as hookers. “They may be high-paid call girls or just street hookers, but they are all women of the night.”

To the Weekly: Collectively describing the 40 most influential women in nightlife, who were honored en masse Sunday night (including the Weekly’s own Xania Woodman and Light Group’s hard-working, hard-partying Kalika Moquin, who coordinated the fete) at The Bank, where each lucky lady received an engraved plaque and a mondo swag bag. “They may be mothers by day, or students or polished business professionals, but they are all women of the night.”
