The Double Down Saloon is the Happiest Place on Earth—at least according to its own slogan. Now, where does that leave the Double Down Lounge in Austin, Texas?

Sued. That’s where.

According to the Las Vegas Sun, Double Down Inc., owners of Las Vegas and New York City Double Downs, hit the Texas lounge with a trademark infringement lawsuit Tuesday. The lawsuit claims the Texas lounge uses a gaming theme to brand and promote itself and hosts live music performances, and that people may incorrectly believe that the business is connected to the Las Vegas and New York Double Downs. Additionally, the lawsuit claims that, with doubledownaustin.com, the Texas lounge is using a website domain name similar to a famous trademarked name. The local Double Down, of course, has received national attention for its ass-juice, bacon martinis and all-around awesomeness.

This isn’t the Double Down’s first foray into the courtroom. In 2009, the company won a lawsuit against a tavern in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, that called itself Double Down Sports Bar & Grill.

Best of luck to the Double Down in its effort to protect its brand, but I doubt they’ll need it. Who’s going to mess with a place whose bathroom looks like theirs?
