Back to School Drive with Chuckie at Tao Party with a purpose Thursday at the Venetian, as all clubgoers who donate a new package of school supplies score an open bar from 10 to 11 p.m. A local child in need gets a box of the Crayola rainbow and you get drunk—a win-win! Still not convinced? Maybe Dirty Dutch DJ Chuckie will get you on the dancefloor. August 15, doors at 10 p.m., $20 men, $10 women, locals free.

Adrian Lux at Surrender You may be familiar with the Scandinavian producer’s 2010 mirrorball hit “Teenage Crime,” famously remixed by Axwell (formerly of Swedish House Mafia). Lux has a shot at another smash with “Damaged,” and here’s hoping the progressive trance wunderkind drops the new song’s excellent M4SONIC remix during this week’s set. August 16, doors at 10:30 p.m., $42 men, $32 women.

National Rum Day at Double Down Saloon The dive favorite celebrates the wonders of sugar cane Friday night with free Sailor Jerry Floats—a combo of spiced rum, cola and ice cream. The rum rager comes complete with $3 Sailor Jerry shots and eye candy courtesy of the Sailor Jerry pin-up girls. August 16, 10 p.m., free.

Madonna Birthday Celebration at Piranha Wanna see a dancefloor explode? Drop a Madonna song—any one, really—at a gay club. And the former Material Girl’s 55th birthday would seem a good excuse to exploit that. Expect a Madge-heavy set, as well as a live performance from Divas Las Vegas’ resident Madonna impersonator, Kenneth Blake. August 16, doors at 10 p.m., free.

Las Vegas Weekly’s Beaches Be Crazy Party at Breathe Pool Lounge Consider skipping the busy Saturday Strip pool parties and joining us for some fun in the sun at the Hard Rock Hotel oasis. This edition of our pool-party series includes a Herradura cocktail contest between cocktailcityvegas.com and Booze Brothers Beverage, so don’t forget to RSVP for your judging credentials! August 17, 1 p.m., free with RSVP at lasvegasweekly.com/beaches.

?uestlove at Ling Ling Club If there’s one name to trust in the world of music, it’s the Roots’ iconoclastic drummer, who has worked with some of the greatest artists of the modern pop era. He also DJs, and does so like a musicologist. Expect chestnuts of both the classic and crate-dug variety during his genre- and decade-spanning set inside Hakkasan’s alternate room. August 17, doors at 10 p.m., $100+ men, $40+ women.

Midsummer Lingerie Carnival at Palms Pool The off-Strip property’s lingerie masquerade goes down for the seventh straight year Saturday night, this time with Rio de Janeiro’s Carnival serving as inspiration. Get creative with those masks (which are required, by the way), and enjoy a night under the stars with some seriously sexy people in their skivvies. August 17, 9 p.m., $110 (with two-hour open bar), $35 for general admission entry; women can apply for free entry at palms.com/midsummer.

Coki at Beauty Bar You think you know dubstep, but you likely don’t. The electronic subgenre first blossomed in the U.K. before it invaded the U.S., and for some diehard bassheads, the English version is more nuanced and evocative, less gimmicky—and just outright superior. We’ll get a rare DJ set chock full of it when one of U.K. dubstep’s pioneers, Coki, pays Fremont East a visit this week. August 20, doors at 9:30 p.m., $10.
