DJ Mag top-ranked DJ Armin van Buuren hits Marquee Dayclub on Friday.

End of the World Party at The Act The Palazzo nightclub wants you to party like there’s no tomorrow Thursday night, when it launches this monthly tri-city party also held in London and LA. Dance to your last requests, enjoy new acts from the club’s performers and share your final desires on the “Last Wish” wall. The Act is also enforcing a special (and vague) dress code for the evening, so dress as you’ve never dared! Ladies, be better than the tube dress. May 2, doors at 10:30 p.m., $30 men, $20 women, locals free.

Grand opening weekend at Sapphire Pool & Dayclub After quietly opening its doors two weeks ago, the city’s latest dayclub makes a splash this weekend with its celeb-studded grand opening festivities. Simon Rex—also known as Dirt Nasty—performs at the near-pristine pool Friday; Adrian Grenier, Pamela Anderson and Coco Austin stop by on Saturday; and Sunday’s entertainment lineup includes a DJ set featuring Dennis Rodman. Yes, that Dennis Rodman. May 2-5, doors at 11 a.m., $30 (Thursday), $50 (Friday-Sunday).

Ditch Launch Weekend at Palms Pool Cabanas kick cubicle ass, and that’s why Palms has been persuading 9-to-5-ers to “Ditch Friday” for six seasons now. Busta Rhymes kicks off the real thing on Friday, but the party doesn’t stop there. Redman and Method Man hold it down Saturday afternoon, and Diddy plays host that night for a poolside, post-fight soiree. May 3-4, times vary, see Pool Grid for more details.

Tiësto at Hakkasan & Wet Republic Weekly reported just last week that the Dutchman is the Strip’s highest-paid resident DJ, earning about $22 million in 2012. So, what does a $250,000 DJ set sound like? Find out this weekend when he spins a doubleheader at MGM’s cross-property sister venues. Hakkasan: May 3, doors at 10 p.m., $50+ men, $30+ women, local ladies free; Wet Republic: May 4, doors at 11 a.m., $50+ men, $30+ women.

Armin Van Buuren at Marquee Dayclub Van Buuren drops his latest album, Intense, this Friday, and embarks on a month-long tour right after to promote it, which includes Saturday’s set at the Cosmo dayclub. Also bringing the noise: DJ Blake Jarrell. May 4, doors at 10 a.m., $50 men, $20 women.

May the 4th Be With You Party at Crossroads at House of Blues A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away … they probably didn’t drink Yodaritas at Star Wars Day parties. But you can Saturday night, when HOB puts on a geek-tastic extravaganza for the unofficial annual holiday, complete with a viewing of Episode IV: A New Hope (in its original non-“enhanced” format). Don’t forget to break out your intergalactic duds; Star Wars and “Slave Leia” costume contests round out this fan fiesta. May 4, 8 p.m., free entry, RSVP at may4thbewithyou.eventbrite.com.

Beaches Be Crazy at Bagatelle Beach You might not know this, but Cinco de Mayo doesn’t celebrate Mexico’s mastery of the production of fine tequilas. In fact, it commemorates the Mexican victory at the Battle of Puebla. But come Sunday we know exactly where your mind will be, which is why we’re offering free Herradura drinks at the launch of our summer pool party series. To boot, the boozy bash includes a performance by B-Real of Cypress Hill. May 5, 1 p.m., $30 men, $20 women, locals free, free w/RSVP at lasvegasweekly.com/beaches.

Neon Fiesta at Hyde The Bellagio nightclub also celebrates Cinco this Sunday with the finale of its XIV Vegas Sessions party series. Neon is always encouraged at the monthly bash, but don’t forget your sombreros for this installment! May 5, doors at 5 p.m., $30 men, $20 women.
