Weeknd plans: Pure is the place to hear rising hip-hop artist The Weeknd on Saturday.

Pin-Ups and Superheroes at Posh/Crazy Horse III Break out those capes and masks! Posh wants you in your crime-fighting best for its superhero-themed Halloween revelry. Where does the “pin-up” figure in, you ask? That would be Stratosphere headliner Claire Sinclair, as the former Playboy Playmate of the Year hosts the off-Strip gentlemen’s club. Oh, and did we mention there’s an open bar from 9 to 11 p.m.? October 31, doors at 11 p.m., $30 with arrival by taxi, free entry if not.

Wiz Khalifa at Tao Black and orange meets “Black and Yellow” Thursday night, when the hip-hop superstar takes the mic during Tao’s Halloween Spectacular: The Wiz of Tao. In the booth: DJ Five. October 31, doors at 10 p.m., $40 men, $20 women.

Steampunk Costume Contest at Rx Boiler Room Rick Moonen’s new culinary hot spot puts on a spooky soirée for All Hallow’s Eve, featuring $3 shots and $5 beers and cocktails, including a celebratory cocktail appropriately titled the Witches Brew. Dust off your 19th century duds, as a hotel stay, show tickets and a comp Rx dinner are at stake during the Best Steampunk costume contest. Don’t own any Victorian-inspired, mechanical clothing? Rx has you covered with a generic costume competition, too. October 31, 5 p.m., free.

Krave at TW Theater and Nightclub It’s the gay club concept that refuses to die. Original owner Sia Amiri is putting Krave back on the Strip, this time at the newest incarnation of the old Club Utopia/Empire Ballroom venue. Former resident and Black Boots synth man Lightknife provides the soundtrack. November 1, 10:30 p.m., $20, locals free before 12:30 a.m.

Halloweekend: Jack ‘N Cake at Body English Collective Zoo’s second of three “Halloweekend” parties will be a Day of the Dead version of its signature Jack ‘N Cake throwdown. You know what that means: free Jack Daniel’s shots, boozy cupcakes and real-deal DJs (such as Totescity, Byra Tanks, B-Radical and others). Bonus: free admission if you e-mail [email protected]. November 1, 10 p.m., $20 men, $10 women.

Mat Zo at Light Nightclub London-born Israeli producer/DJ Mat Zo doesn’t play too many Las Vegas gigs outside of EDC, but he’s making an exception this weekend, and for good reason: Tuesday is the drop date for his debut artist album, Damage Control, which includes “Easy,” his recent Beatport No. 1 collab with fellow electronic music prodigy, Porter Robinson. And he gets to open for another young beatmeister, Sweden’s Alesso, during this “Lightmare”-themed weekend. November 2, 10 p.m., $50 men, $30 women.

Sonidero: Day of the Dead at Beauty Bar Lotsa Day of the Dead parties out there, so how about one thrown by actual Mexicans? The folks behind Downtown-oriented Sonidero will put a Día de los Muertos spin on its usual alternative/rock en Español bashes, featuring performers Petra Ice and Dolores Flores, as well as the usual DJ crew. November 2, doors at 10 p.m., free.

The Weeknd at Pure will celebrate the weekend ... with The Weeknd. The rising alternative R&B artist, who has already worked with industry heavy-hitters like Drake, Sia and Diplo, performs at the Caesars club Saturday night. November 2, doors at 10:30 p.m., $20.
