On the busiest nights of the week, Katie Smith is working the hottest party on the Strip inside Omnia Nightclub. Her confident, bubbly charm makes her an ideal candidate to serve up Vegas nightlife.
A server stationed at Wet Republic last summer, she’s seen it all, from Fourth of July madness to Steve Aoki’s wild show with inflatable rafts and flying birthday cake. Wet Republic is getting ready with a massive casting call this month, and though Smith plans to stay at Omnia, summer memories will always come calling. “I’ll have guests say to me, I can’t believe this is your job! It would be hard to go back to a typical job, because we’re so blessed to be able to do what we do. It’s so much fun you forget that you’re working.”
When she isn’t working, you’ll probably find Smith pre-partying at Hakkasan or at Vintner Grill Strip, a hidden treasure at the Fashion Show Mall. “The food’s amazing, and it’s such a cute date spot,” she says.
But it always leads back to the main event, and whether it’s at Omnia or Wet Republic, Smith has a bird’s-eye view on the world’s most talked-about clubs. “It’s just amazing seeing so many people let loose and how amazed they are to be there. We take it for granted. It’s such a good time.” Find casting call info at hakkasangroup.com/hakkasan-careers.
