Originally named Virginia's Cafe when it opened in 1952, the business changed to Atomic Liquors in 1952, during above-ground atomic bomb testing at the Nevada Test Site. Las Vegas' oldest freestanding bar, the Atomic was issued the city's first Tavern License - #00001.
