A few friendly suggestions for First Friday’s 10-year time capsule

While you’re at it, throw this First Friday circa 2008 pic into the time capsule, too.

This month, First Friday celebrates 10 years bringing arts and culture to the streets of Downtown Las Vegas. To commemorate the occasion, the festival will seal up a special First Friday-themed time capsule, to be opened on the 20th anniversary in 2022. We assume they’ve got the actual art covered, but we at the Weekly thought it best to toss out a few, well, Weekly-ish recommendations for the rest of the contents ...

A PBR tallboy

Gallery/tavern owner Wes Myles

A lock of Clydesdale singer Paige Overton's hair

A pair of Zappos sneakers (provided Tony Hsieh will underwrite the time capsule afterparty)

Cigarette butts from an El Cortez ashtray

A Fukuburger (cooked well done—it'll last longer that way)

The rarest 7-inch from DJ John Doe's vinyl collection (we promise you'll get it back, man)

This list of suggested items for the 10th anniversary time capsule
