From Holsteins at the Cosmopolitan to First Friday, artist Juan Muniz and his cartoon pal Felipe are ubiquitous. When Muniz is not working on another mural, exhibiting at Downtown galleries, on the Strip or in LA, he's donating his creations to charities (Aid for Aids of Nevada and Nevada Childhood Cancer) or designing new works featuring his bunny-suited pal.

On June 18, he'll be doing a meet and greet at PIQ at Caesars Palace (1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m.). After that, he returns to Electric Daisy Carnival for his second year, painting a mural during the three-day dance music festival. He's also collaborated with Insomniac on EDC T-shirts. We recently caught up with Muniz to discuss this year's EDC mural, his upcoming projects and more.

What will you be doing at PIQ? I'm having an art show and signing. I'll be releasing four new prints and I'll have five original paintings. I'll also be painting live.

More Felipe? Yes. All the new paintings and prints are for a new collection only to be found in PIQ stores.

Are you excited for EDC? I'm excited. And scared because of the heat. But it's so much fun and the people at EDC are so nice.

Describe last year's EDC mural. It was "The Sound of Music." It had Felipe wearing headphones that were exploding with sound and color.

This year? This year it's going to be "Reach for the Stars." It will have their [EDC producer Insomniac's] owl character and Felipe under the stars.

What's next? After EDC, its Comic-Con in San Diego where I'll be releasing wall graphics and new prints and signing.

How is the vinyl toy coming along? We're doing a run of five different colors, including a glow-in-the-dark [one]. It will be an 8-inch toy, Felipe with the balloon grenade. Most likely it will be released for New York Comic-Con in October.
