Perfect your downward dog at the Vegas Gone Yoga! Festival

You may have stumbled across the Instagram hashtag #yogaeverydamnday, but have you tried yoga all day, for two days in a row?

Now’s your chance at the third-annual Vegas Gone Yoga! Festival, where 500 yogis converge at Springs Preserve for a weekend of indoor and outdoor yoga, meditation, healing sound therapy, expressive dance and philosophy. Taught by instructors from 14 local studios, the festival is geared toward intermediate and advanced practitioners, but novice classes are also available.

The festival was founded by New York transplant Kristina Blunt, who teaches at Yoga Sanctuary and wanted to show there’s a different side to Vegas than parties on the Strip.

“Yoga means union,” Blunt says, “but we didn’t really do anything to practice that meaning. This festival brings that union to Southern Nevada’s yogis and yoginis.”

Vegas Gone Yoga! Festival September 19 & 20, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., $119 per day or $169 for two, vegasgoneyoga.com.
