Menchi katsu burger at Itsy Bitsy

The chefs at Itsy Bitsy know not everyone can handle a steaming bowl of ramen in triple digit weather, so they introduced new dishes to the menu this summer. In addition to cold noodles, they're offering their first burger with a Japanese twist. The menchi katsu burger ($10) is a mozzarella-filled fried hamburger steak toped with sautéed onion and shiitake mushrooms, spicy mayo and tonkatsu sauce. 150 Las Vegas Blvd. N., 702-405-9393.

BTLG at the Goodwich

If you haven’t already been, it’s time to check out the Goodwich’s new location at Soho Lofts and its expanded list of tasty sandwiches. The BLTG ($8.50), stacked with house-made bacon, tomato, greens, aioli and cheddar-bacon grits, is a delicious remake of a sandwich classic. 900 Las Vegas Blvd. N. #120, 702-910-8681.

The latest foodie fad has made its way Downtown. Get the most you possibly can out of an order of toast at Glutton. This new special ($20) comes with wood-fired crostini bread bites and a bottle of wine. Toast toppings vary daily and include selections like whipped ricotta and pickled tomato, pork rillettes with pickled apple, and avocado with Meyer lemon and shaved chili. This dish is available every Tuesday and Thursday after 5 p.m. through the end of August. 616 E. Carson Ave. #110, 702-366-0623.

Banh beo at Le Pho

Next time you're at Le Pho, try the new gluten-free bahn beo ($7). These tapas-style steamed rice cakes topped with shrimp, fried shallots, scallion and pork rinds are the perfect side or summer snack. 353 E Bonneville Ave. #115, 702-382-0209.

Brekkie burrito at PublicUs

Start your morning with the ultimate breakfast burrito. The satisfying PublicUs brekkie burrito packs a lot of Mexican flavor with eggs, cheddar cheese, chorizo, potatoes and refried beans with chipotle and onions—and on the side, sour cream, habanero sauce, pico de gallo, lime and oranges. 1126 Fremont St., 702-331-5500.
