You Lucky Puppy café and indoor dog park on the way to Vegas

That’s one lucky puppy.

If you’re a “pawrent” who loves to take your furbaby everywhere, you’ll be happy to know plans are afoot for Las Vegas to open its first dog-centric café and indoor dog park.

According to CEO Rhiannon Gladney, You Lucky Puppy would be the second dog-friendly café in the US; the other debuted earlier this year in LA. It would occupy a roughly 2,000-square-foot location somewhere in the west part of the Valley, slated for a summer opening, and feature an obstacle course and a tennis-ball machine for pups to play fetch, with coffee, beer, wine, cocktails and snacks for their human counterparts. Ten percent of monthly profits would be donated to rotating animal charities.

You can meet Gladney and mingle with other local pet-lovers at You Lucky Puppy’s Halloween Dog Treat Tasting Competition fundraiser October 26 at Lazy Dog restaurant in Downtown Summerlin. Bring your pup to sample treats from local pet bakeries and get a preliminary feel for what it’s like to socialize with Fido.
