Vegas didn’t get Amazon’s second HQ and probably won’t get Apple’s, either

Don’t take it so hard. Las Vegas was never going to make it to Amazon’s final list of candidates for a second headquarters; our pool of tech workers is still too shallow. Now Apple wants to open a second campus in the U.S., one that would focus on technical support—and I have no doubt Valley officials will try to lure another tech company to our metro. We probably won’t get this one, either, but this time, we’re on the right track. Our insomnia is a feature, not a bug.
