Dreamzone

I dreamt that I was in the woods with family, but I had gone to find my own place to be by myself. While I was there, I saw an old friend from grade school. She was just finishing up a chemo treatment and had vomited during it, but told me that was okay. Next thing I knew, I was getting a chemo treatment because I had a little bit of cancer. Within a couple of minutes, I too vomited. I did feel better after vomiting. Then the rest of my family came and loaded me up to head home, but they gave me no sympathy (which is what I really wanted). –Donielle, 36

Lauri: The cancer in this dream is connected to an unhealthy situation in waking life, a situation that has been eating away at you. The old friend represents perhaps the naïve part of yourself that got you into this situation. The vomiting is the purging, the ridding yourself of the negative situation by speaking up about it. That is why you felt better after you vomited. Your family does not give you sympathy because in real life, others may not realize how affected you are by the situation, or they may think this is your own fault. Whatever the case, the message you are given repeatedly through this dream is, despite the discomfort of the situation, everything is okay now.

Donielle replies: I have gotten myself into trouble with debt and have been living with my parents for two years now. I am so ready to move out (and on) but seem to have trouble getting enough money to do so. Things in both situations have been changing. And it is good to know that things are on the upswing now! Thank you so much.
