Dream zone

I dreamed we had a large house, with a barn out back. One day I noticed there were many things starting to get fixed. After about a week, I noticed an Amish man living in our barn. I approached him, and he said his name was Ezekiel. I was not frightened, but offered to let him stay for free for all the work and improvements he made. –Deborah, 45

Lauri: The Amish man is standing in for a part of your own personality. It is being shown to you in the form of an Amish man because it is the part of you that wants to simplify your life. What area of your life is too busy, cluttered or complicated? Well, Ezekiel has come to the rescue! You have even given him a name, which means you are beginning to identify with the simpler, “EZier,” back-to-basics mind-set. Your dream is showing you that allowing this mind-set to reside in and become a part of your life will encourage change … which will lead to “mended” fences, solved problems and easier decisions, and perhaps time to take care of actual things around the home that do need fixing!

Deborah replies: Currently I am a full-time student, a working intern and a mom. There is so much around the house that needs to be done that I am really looking forward to the summer, as both school and work will be over, and I can concentrate on the home front!
