Writer Delphine Hirasuna and designer Kit Hinrichs have made a career out of producing books that explore the endless possibilities of synthesizing graphic design and text, across an array of subject matter, including the American flag, artwork made by Japanese-Americans detained in internment camps, typography—even vegetables. They talk about their work in a presentation sponsored by the Las Vegas chapter of AIGA.
“What we find is when we collaborate the kind of visual imagery that comes into his mind really helps focus me on things I wouldn’t have thought of,” says Hirasuna.
