Can you get more Irish than Flogging Molly? Good luck.
If the loss of O’Sheas still has you blue about the wearing of the green, fret not. We’ve got St. Patrick’s nightlife events galore on Page 28, and here are three more ways to get in an Irish state of mind.
Henderson festival The Sons of Erin’s 47th annual celebration features carnival rides and whiskey tastings (we suggest you try both together), Irish-themed entertainment, a car show and, of course, the Saturday parade, which starts at 10 a.m. Admission is free, though some events require tickets. March 14 & 15, 5-10 p.m.; March 16, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.; March 17, noon-9 p.m. Henderson Events Plaza, 200 S. Water St., hendersonlive.com.
Rí Rá’s two-day party One of Las Vegas’ most authentic Irish pubs hosts live music and dancers while serving up corned beef and cabbage, shepherd’s pie and other Emerald Isle cuisine classics. March 16, 2 p.m., free; March 17, noon, $10. Mandalay Place, 632-7771.
Flogging Molly The only way you could feel more Irish than listening to this seven-piece band would be to dance a jig while holding a glass of green beer in each hand. Actually, you should probably do that anyway. With Mariachi El Bronx, March 16, 8 p.m., $35. Cosmopolitan’s Boulevard Pool, 698-7000.
