IMDb: Erased
Rotten Tomatoes: Erased

Combining elements of Taken, Unknown and The Bourne Identity, the knockoff thriller Erased is cobbled together from spare parts, and star Aaron Eckhart is a poor substitute for Liam Neeson or Matt Damon. He plays Ben Logan, a former U.S. government operative working for a security firm in Belgium, who shows up to his empty office one day to discover that his company, bank records, identification and entire life have been—well, you know. Ben and his annoying teenage daughter (Liana Liberato) are soon on the run from a convoluted conspiracy, having unconvincing heart-to-heart chats along the way. Everything about Erased feels generic, from the dialogue to the plot twists to the action sequences. After all the loud build-up, the ending is an unconvincing anticlimax, a half-hearted conclusion to a story that never establishes its own identity.
