Like Fonzie: Yolanda Be Cool comes correctamundo at Palms Pool on August 23.

Ashley Wallbridge at Marquee Dayclub The English producer/DJ who has released eight EPs and one full-length album returns to Las Vegas as part of his global tour. He’s pulling double duty at Cosmo’s daytime hot spot this weekend, with shows on Friday and Sunday. This guy knows how to fill a room with both bodies and music, so come ready to party. August 22 & 24, doors at 11 a.m., $20+ men, $10+ women.

National Draft Day at the Joint Fantasy football fiends convene this Saturday at the Hard Rock Hotel for a celebration of imaginary sports team ownership. Chat with Yahoo Sports experts, down $5 beers and debate the value of LeSean McCoy versus Jamaal Charles with people who actually care. Because what kind of fantasy involves talking draft prospects with your bored wife? August 23, 11 a.m., free (rsvp at hardrockhotel.com).

AFAN’S Black & White Party at the Joint Quite possibly one of the city’s favorite charity events, Aid for AIDS of Nevada’s yearly affair returns to the Hard Rock Saturday night, combining fabulous food (from Maggiano’s, Culinary Dropout and more), entertainment (including Absinthe’s Melody Sweets, the Jabbawockeez and RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Shangela) and philanthropy (AFAN reports last year’s $130,000+ proceeds directly supported its HIV/AIDS services) for a phenomenal night of fundraising fun. August 23, 9 p.m., $40 GA, $125 VIP.

Erick Morrillo at Life The city’s newest nightclub debuts Saturday at the freshly minted SLS resort, with a performance by this renowned house music veteran. And with cover charge prices like those for a grand opening night, you better “move it, move it” and score a ticket or two. August 23, doors at 10 p.m., $40+ men, $20+ women.

Yolanda Be Cool at Palms Pool After a hot streak in Ibiza and California and right before sharing their art with the denizens of Burning Man, the hard-touring Australian duo—influenced by “things that make you go hmmm and yeahhh”—brings its beats to the Palms day destination, its signature style of crazy (like a fox) juxtapositions surely ramped up for the occasion. It’ll have to top the Facebook photo of band member Johnson Peterson wearing a grin and a sombrero while holding a duct-taped gun. August 23, doors at 10 a.m., $25+ men, $15+ women.

Soul Shakedown Three-Year Anniversary at Beauty Bar Knocksteady Soundsystem and Viva Ska Radio have been bringing the funk/reggae/rocksteady jams to Las Vegas for three years, hosting the Soul Shakedown Party at various locations throughout the Valley. Now, celebrate Vegas’ funky all-night anniversary in style while DJs Selecta’ Scream, Cavallero and Jr. Ska Boss drop ska and mod favorites, followed by a live set from The Retrolites as they perform reggae-fied classics. August 23, 10 p.m., free.

DJ Snake and Adrian Lux at Encore Beach Club The French producer also known as William Grigahcine has been extremely busy of late, releasing “Get Low” with Dillon Francis earlier this year, working on a soon-to-be-released collaboration with Diplo and performing as a supporting act for Skrillex on the recently wrapped Mothership Tour. He’s joined by Swedish DJ Lux for some daytime fun in the Vegas sun. August 24, 11 a.m., $35 men, $25 women.

Call of the Wild at Brooklyn Bowl This event is like the best fusion burrito of your life. Start with the base, an animal-themed art show wrapping around meaty live performances by local hip-hoppers RNR, indie-rockers Social Club and rhyme-spitter Marion Write. Top that with the spicy salsa of an open cypher for b-boys to battle it out for “king” status to the sounds of DJ BzBeats. How’s that for a free meal? August 27, doors at 7 p.m., free.
