Lots of Drai’s news this week. On June 20, four weeks after the opening of Drai’s Beach Club & Nightclub atop the Cromwell, the original afterhours operation will move from the old Seasons restaurant spot inside Bally’s back to its original basement location, with a slew of international house and techno DJs also playing Electric Daisy Carnival kicking things off. In its place, LGBT club Liaison will take over at Bally’s, open nightly at 10 p.m.

Also: production duo The-Dream and Tricky Stewart debuted their hip-hop residency concept, Contra Paris, at Drai’s BC&NC on June 8, and will hold the event every last Sunday of the month thereafter. And Crystal Method isn’t the only homecoming the rooftop spot is hosting (see Hot Spots): On June 13, former Las Vegas DJ Starkillers returns to town with a daytime set, opening for Borgeous.

Speaking of dedicated hip-hop parties: Daylight at Mandalay Bay recently launched the weekly daytime throwdown Made Sundays. Ditch Fridays at Palms Pool will feature various rocker DJ sets through the summer, scheduling members of Capital Cities (June 13), Grouplove (June 27) and Passion Pit (August 1). Backstage Bar & Billiards is now home to a New Wave-themed night called Rewind; the June 14 edition will have DJs Style and Grendel focus on one-hit wonders. And Caesars Palace has redone its Galleria Bar, rechristening it Lobby Bar, complete with eight cocktail creations by renowned mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim.
