DIGITAL TONY: So This Is Christmas

Who says sex and Santa don’t mix?

Antonio Llapur

I saw a Charlie Brown Christmas this weekend, so I assume the holidays are in full swing. I hope all of you have your shopping done, or if you're like me, you're prepping yourself for a maddening December 24 spree. Unlike me, the club scene is ready and has already cooked up some serious cheer.

I started this year's festivities a week ago Wednesday with a trip to MGM's Tabú. It was the same night as the Billboard Music Awards, also at MGM, so everybody was all concerned with seeing celebs. But I say celebrities, shmalebrities. As much as I like making fun of R. Kelly (and how creepy is that guy?), I was more concerned about the Playboy fashion show going down. Nothing gets me in the holiday mood more than girls in leather and lingerie. Hey, what do you want? I'm a guy! Seriously, Tabú's Boutique Wednesdays are worth checking out.

This weekend saw a number of parties with a jolly slant. Ice gave local lads the gift of strippers with its Exotic Dancers Gala, as many of our favorite topless citizens showed off Angels Clothing and Accessories.

Over at OPM at the Forum, Saturday saw the launch of the 12 days of Christmas with an evening full of goodies and lady DJs who included Lisa D, Amber and DJ Pollywog, of Groove fame.

My most memorable Christmas party experience came Sunday night over at the Paris' Risqué. It was a night of fun, but more importantly, it was a night for charity. The party was for Toys for Tots, a group which tries to ensure that local kids don't go without a toys at Christmas. That alone made Risqué's party worthwhile. But Risqué and Clique Entertainment did a great job setting the joyous atmosphere. There was a fashion show from Dirty Laundry, plus an array of frolicking performers. Dare I say it was a sexy Christmas?

I do dare! The party at Risqué showed a hell of a lot of imagination. It had something I've yet to see at a local club: a live singer. At one point, this unbelievably sexy torch singer, decked out like a go-go dancer, climbed up on stage and belted out "These Boots Are Made For Walking." I'm not sure if it was the live singing or my weakness for girls in go-go boots, but brother, did I enjoy that!

To you and yours, a safe and joyous season. Merry Christmas, happy Chanukah and crazy Kwanzaa! And here's hoping Santa fulfills my Christmas dreams: that new Medal of Honor game for the Xbox and Gina Gershon. They're all I've ever wanted.
