Las Vegas Valley Book Festival Schedule

The Vegas Valley Book Festival, sponsored by the Nevada Humanities Committee, returns for a second year of workshops, readings and various literary pursuits at several locations around town. This year's keynote speaker is Rudolfo Anaya, credited as the founder of modern Chicano literature. Other guests range from former Mystery Science Theater 3000 stars Mike Nelson and Kevin Murphy to political cartoonists Ted Rall and Tom Tomorrow to local writers including H. Lee Barnes, Dayvid Figler and John L. Smith. All events are free and open to the public.
