NOISE: Obscure Opening Act of the Week

Coheed and Cambria

WHO: Coheed and Cambria

OPENING FOR: Thursday and Thrice, November 1, House of Blues.

WHO ARE THESE GUYS?: Claudio Sanchez, vocals; guitar; Travis Stever, guitar, vocals; Michael Todd, bass; Joshua Eppard, drums.

WHAT DO THEY PLAY: Emo-core.

LATEST PRETENTIOUSLY TITLED ALBUM:
In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3

REASON TO GET TO THE SHOW IN TIME TO SEE THEM: "Claudio Sanchez, whose high-pitched Geddy-Lee-on-steroids vocals and wiry, hay bale hair are slowly turning him into one of hardcore/emo's instantly recognizable figures." (
From the music website Delusions of Adequacy.)

WHY IT MAY NOT MATTER: C&C have recently canceled shows in New York and New Jersey because of Claudio's wisdom teeth and in Vermont because of an unspecified illness "in the van." Audiences in Cleveland and Scranton, Pennsylvania, had to take their C&C acoustic a few weekends ago because Travis was at his brother's wedding.

WE'RE NOTHING WITHOUT YOU, THE FANS!: "Thanks to so many of you who helped keep the record from getting downloaded too early." (
From the band's website, coheedandcambria.com)

SPEAKING OF THE FANS ...: "Coheed nd cambria kick sooooooooo much ass i unreal you can like any kind of music besides hick music and pop and be satisfyed in any mod u can rock out and still kick somesones ass in the pit so they are all cool with me" (
From an Internet message board)
