MYSTIC MONA: Move On to Another Org

Reader’s jackpot will hit in October

THE DREAM ZONE

with Lauri Quinn Loewenberg

I'm attending a program at a high-school auditorium. I'm carrying a woman who only had part of her body, from the stomach up. She was a celebrity singer but no one paid attention to her, so I took the woman outside. There was a river with lots of floats and kids. I put the woman onto a float and left. Then I woke up.

ANGELA, 35

Lauri: The half-woman symbolizes something in your life you'd like to "send down the river," something you spend only half your energy on. In the auditorium, which is a place of performance, no one paid attention. In which area of life aren't you recognized for your performance? The woman being a singer symbolizes your own voice. Is there some issue you've given up on that you should speak up about? All the high-school kids indicate underdevelopment. Your dream says you may be giving up on something too soon. You've got the ability to shine, just like the celebrity in your dream. Hang in there!

Angela: I understand now. I'm starting another career because I'm fed up with my job's problems and bad pay. I also do stand-up comedy, but it's taking too long to get where I want to be. My friends say I should get paid more because I'm so good.

I've landed a temporary position and want to know if this is where I'm supposed to be, or just a stepping-stone to somewhere else. I so want to be happy again in my work environment and be appreciated for my talents and efforts. I know I can do something more challenging and rewarding. Should I keep freelancing, hoping to pick up something better? I get attached so easily to my surroundings and can adapt so well that I might grab the wrong thing. Plus, the clock is ticking for me and I need a permanent position very soon.

Heavy In Thought

Dear Heavy,

A job opportunity will present itself in October. So, please have the mind-set that you'll change jobs into something more long-term and satisfying at that time. There are two people at your current job I don't like. One is a man who tells you everything you want to hear, but has no intention of helping you get promoted or excel. There is also a woman who can be both bitingly funny and the "B" word at the same time—she loves to talk about people behind their backs. She's so concerned about her own status in life and career that she won't help you unless the benefit for her is very strong.

Your biggest challenge is getting past the idea that you're going to have to change jobs again. Remember, you're worth more if you have a job when you're looking than if you don't, even if it's a temporary situation. Among your blessings in this lifetime is the ability to connect with the people around you and I don't want you wasting that wonderful talent at your current job. Some people have talent and no people skills. Your people skills will win you the next opportunity, at which you get to really show off how creative you are. Go after the job that teaches you something in the talent/skill arena that you don't know. Eventually, you'll own your own business.

Editor's note: The following correspondence happened last May and June. It is followed by an update.

I have one question, then I need info on how to get a reading over the phone. My question is about a job. My birthday is October 4, 1956, and I'm looking for work as a teacher in Portland, Oregon. Will I get a job by September?

LG

Dear LG,

Yes, you'll have a job by September—but it's very important that your unique personality comes out in the interview. You've been a little too status quo in your method. What I see is that once you decide to really show off how good you are, the right opportunity will appear.

The biggest gift you have from what I see is your ability to create harmony—that's why students seem to really resonate with you, and that's what you tell people during your interviews. Also, check into other ways to apply your teaching abilities. You may be able to represent a company to demonstrate a procedure or method to corporations (or I may just be seeing down the road for you).

Let go of your strict expectations of how it's supposed to work out, because it will.

I don't do phone readings because they're difficult to coordinate and I don't predict there will ever be a Mystic Mona-endorsed hot line.

Update from LG: I just had to tell you that what you saw for me has come true. Last week I was offered a job as a data analyst for my brother-in-law's company. I will analyze data and then train the staff on how to complete the data. I'll telecommute to Connecticut via computer. Thank you for the time, and when I come to Vegas I'll call for a full reading.
