THE DREAM ZONE

with Lauri Quinn Loewenberg

For 20 years I've dreamt that my ex-wife hurts me somehow. Last night she was addicted to crack cocaine and stealing from me while she was living with an old, perverted prosecuting attorney (she's actually a solid citizen). These dreams usually screw up my day.

Albert, 55

Lauri: Twenty years of these dreams indicate you haven't allowed yourself to heal from emotional "wounds." When people we know in a dream aren't acting like they normally would, such as your ex addicted to crack and stealing, they're showing us something about ourselves. An addiction is the inability to let go of something, and your dreams indicate you've had a hard time letting go of the pain. She was also living with an old perverted prosecutor. This means you've been living with guilt, and like the prosecutor (whose job is to assign guilt), it's getting old. Your dream says that by living this way, you're only robbing yourself.

Albert replies: I worked in radio and TV for many years, and the divorce hurt my ego. I was so vain, so foolish, so dumb, and was gone too much. Only recently have I started enjoying life again. This was extraordinary!

ARIES
(March 21-April 20)

Today (Thursday), the Moon in cerebral (and compatible) Gemini is full and so are you—full of yourself, full of schemes, plans. It's a fun day for smarty-pants rams who like to get their ideas across as quickly as possible so they can move on to the next lightbulb-epiphany. You put yourself across to the right people and move up the ladder in the coming weeks, thanks to your intuition and speed. Love: kick up your heels—perhaps tonight? Career: don't spend precious time feeling sorry for unimaginative associates who didn't make it; Health: go for a run.

TAURUS
(April 21-May 21)

The full Moon in Gemini today (Thursday) could make you unusually basso profundo, with deep longings and thoughts, and has you lowing at every moo-calf or bull that wanders by. Should you keep your emotions all penned up? I think not. But since Venus also enters Aquarius, a sign squaring you, you may find that being horny doesn't necessarily equal a choice place in the hay. Metaphorically speaking, avoid a stampede. Love: look for it in all the right places; Career: Mars in Taurus is direct again, so you're hot; Health: cavort, don't snort, and watch your back.

GEMINI
(May 22-June 21)

This week, if you don't win a lottery, fall in love or get called back for a second audition, I'll eat my column. For starters, a full Moon's in Gemini today (Thursday), Mercury and Mars are direct, and Venus is in Aquarius, your trine-mate and (for many twins) fave lunch date. There's a down side (what with gazillions of things happening in the cosmos): Moon opposes Sun and Pluto in Sagittarius. If they power-trip you at the airport, remember that Sag has a short attention span, so the fallout's brief. Love: give it a go; Career: your way; Health: listen to the Now.

CANCER
(June 22-July 22)

Friday sets the stage for a good week, as the Moon is in Cancer, trines Uranus and Jupiter and sextiles Mars. You should get unexpected, tempting offers that are hard to refuse, and feel highly energized playing and networking into the early hours of Saturday morning, when Jupiter squares Saturn and you could find yourself saying "Yes" to a business deal. If it's "too good to be true," be sure to examine the fine print before you sign. Love: stimulating; Career: hot, exciting, promising; Health: don't jump to conclusions—sometimes a rash is just a rash.

LEO
(July 23-Aug. 23)

A full Moon in Gemini today (Thursday) makes you super-smart, with words and ideas pouring out on paper, the Internet, the telephone. Others will hear/read/see you, and life gets busy. Venus enters Aquarius (your opposite sign) today as well, so a few silly people won't write or call back. Maybe they're jealous, or simply reacting to the opposition themselves. You'll hardly notice, however, because Mercury is in Sagittarius, and communications inevitably wind up in your favor. Love: spell it out; Career: show what you know; Health: consult a friend.

VIRGO
(Aug. 24-Sept. 22)

Just when you thought you had it all figured out, the full Moon in Gemini today (Thursday) has you confusing thoughts and emotions. A full Moon in a sign you square can play havoc with your sense of humor about yourself. You like to analyze situations down to the minute details, and yet life cannot always be explained. This is your lesson, at least until Tuesday, when the Moon is in Virgo, and next day trines Mars and sextiles Jupiter. Then you're back on your feet and thinking straight (and big) again. Love: give it a minute; Career: ditto; Health: don't obsess.

LIBRA
(Sept. 23-Oct. 23)

With a full Moon in Gemini and Venus entering Aquarius today (Thursday), your life will be emotionally fulfilling, charming, fascinating and fun. It's one of those karmic, eye-popping moments when you know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that everything you've wanted can be yours, and that includes a best-selling book, movie deal, perfect job, gorgeous soul mate, etc. It's all about air signs in cosmic alignment, so get out your magic wand and start pointing it at stuff you really, really want. Love: merry; Career: a gold mine; Health: take a day off for fun.

SCORPIO
(Oct. 24-Nov. 22)

The weekend suits you nicely, as Moon in Cancer trines Uranus (in Pisces) and trines Jupiter (in Scorpio) Friday for a juicy meeting in an exotic, music-filled room with a stranger you'll want to know better. You might get lucky and score a date, but Saturday it's back to work all too soon as Jupiter squares Saturn. The combination of luck and hard work pays off, however, paving the way for a lucrative career offer and a luxurious future you've only dreamed about up to now. Love: gives you the once-over; Career: revving up; Health: you're on the right path.

SAGITTARIUS
(Nov. 23-Dec. 20)

You still have several days to birthday-party before the Sun enters Capricorn Wednesday afternoon. The frosting on your cake happens Monday, as Moon in Leo (friendly fire) trines Mercury and conjuncts Saturn (for excellent decision-making) and trines Sun and Pluto on Tuesday (for spiritual regeneration). The down note is Moon squaring Mars and Jupiter on Monday, but it's only down if you let it be. Temper your temper and temperature. In other words, stay cool, and score. Love: have compassion; Career: be purposeful; Health: you, not others, know best, as usual.

CAPRICORN
(Dec. 21-Jan. 20)

The Sun enters Capricorn Wednesday (applause, please). Venus just entered Aquarius, but take heart. Many Capricorns have some planets in that sign, so ask your astrologer where to find romance this month; it's probably right near home. Be sure to make your wish—and gratitude list every day. You've got a lot to be thankful for, though to those born with the "burden" of Saturn it may not always appear so. Love: acknowledge it; Career: say a little prayer for the office bully—you'll find it does wonders for your ... Health: let down your guard a bit.

AQUARIUS
(Jan. 21-Feb. 18)

Venus enters your sign on Thursday for several weeks of nonstop popularity. You're the "It" person of the moment, the one invited to every party and event. Are you up for it? Venus in Aquarius in my tarot deck is not all fun and games, however. It's the astrological symbolism of the "Defeat" card (the Five of Swords) and indicates that love can turn sour if you trust the wrong people. Playing hard-to-get is sometimes beneficial. It's good to trust—just be cautious. Love: flirty; Career: you're the prize; Health: take your vitamins every day faithfully.

PISCES
(Feb. 19-March 20)

Water signs cruise this weekend as Moon in Cancer trines Uranus (in Pisces) and Jupiter (in Scorpio). There'll be a pre-Christmas pinata with deliciously sinful goodies that crack you up. Jupiter (planet of luck and expansion) is in Scorpio this year, so now to November 2006, there'll be lots of sexy, fun moments with compatible revelers. Uranus (planet of sudden change) is in your sign, so expect social calls out of the blue. Keep your party hat (and favors) accessible. Love: arrives in costume, leaves without one; Career: fab; Health: get down.
