Not Letting It Slide By

Michael Politz, who runs a trade magazine called Las Vegas Food & Beverage and puts out an e-newsletter called Eye on Vegas, has made a couple of appearances at Beacher's Madhouse this weekend and last, though not in person. His face was included in the pre-performance slide show usually reserved for the Madhouse to thank their fans. One slide congratulates him for joining Chippendales; in another, his green-tinged face appears atop a gay-pride rainbow flag, with the words: "California Closets: Come out of the closet with California Closets." An anonymous source at Beacher's says impresario Jeff Beacher is firing back after Politz ran some inflammatory statements in the Eye. "He takes potshots. He uses his publications to bash people on a personal level," says the Madhouse staffer.

We're Claiming Themas Local on March 4

The Nightclub & Bar convention in March will unveil its new Five-Star Awards. Due to be awarded the prestigious Operator of the Year award are Jason Strauss and Noah Tepperberg, co-owners of Tao here and in New York and Manhattan's Marquee nightclub. The awards ceremony will be at 8 p.m., March 5, at Caesars.

Ed Williams Won't Be Invited

There must be something about Ice that just screams reality TV. Famous for being the location, and really the main character, in Spike TV's The Club, the metaclub on Harmon is again in the spotlight. Every Tuesday, an outfit called Audacity Entertainment will tape segments for a new reality series scheduled to air Sundays on UPN. For more information, call 812-2185.

Nicole Won't Be Invited

Preparations are underway at Pure for another celebrity birthday. Only a week after Justin Timberlake celebrated his 25th with the two women in his life—Cameron Diaz and his mother—Paris Hilton will be getting wild on the mega-club for her own party Saturday. Maybe this year, someone will get this poor, underprivileged girl some undergarments, though there's no chance she'll wear them.

She Wants to Be Bad

You can often catch pop singer Willa Ford performing with the Pussycat Dolls at Pure, but if you've ever wondered what the blonde beauty looks like sans corset (shame on you!), pick up the March issue of Playboy, where she has a featured photo spread. So that's where that butterfly tattoo is!

But We Have a Feeling He's Holding Out on His Favorite Body Part

"I love every one of my tattoos equally. That's like saying, 'What is your favorite body part?' I love all my parts ... Well, I guess. I do love my ... I have a tattoo on my foot that I love."

—An admitted impulse-inkee, DJ Keoki, on which tattoo is his favorite. See for yourself Friday at Ice.

Cocktail of the Week

Seamless Martini,
Seamless Adult Ultralounge, $12

Ingredients

1.5 ounces Stoli Vanilla Vodka

1 ounce rock-candy syrup

1 ounce apple juice

1 ounce lychee nut juice

Lychee nut to garnish

Just as the lychee nut is really a fruit, in the early dawn hours, Seamless is really an after-hours club, with the strippers moving to a back room and DJs taking the stage, the transition occurring "seamlessly," or at least in less than 10 minutes. The perfect drink to sip on while watching out-of-towners wondering where their lap dancer disappeared to.
