with Lauri Quinn Loewenberg I keep having a recurring dream that I end up divorcing my husband. In each dream, the divorce is due to different reasons. But in the end I tell him I am divorcing him and then I leave. I don't understand why I am having this dream because we are actually very happy. Angel, 28, Queen Creek, AZ Lauri: There must be some sort of separation that has happened in your lives. Are either of you working too much or spending too much time with some other project that is causing the other to feel left out? Perhaps you aren't sleeping together every night. Are you or your hubby traveling a lot and unable to share the marital bed as much as you'd like? Does he snore or kick in his sleep, causing you to have to go to the guest room? Anything like that? If so, your inner mind probably feels like you're not really married anymore. So fear not! These dreams aren't foretelling of the demise of your marriage. They are just telling you, again and again, that something needs to be fixed. Jennifer replies: You hit it right on the nose! My husband works nights and also works 60-plus hours a week so I hardly ever get to see him. And when he comes home in the early morning, he sleeps on the couch so he does not disturb me. He spends a lot of time with his friends as well on the weekends. The only time we get to really spend time with each other is on Sundays and on date nights when I plan one for us. Thanks a lot—this makes me feel a lot better knowing my mind was not trying to tell me something bad was going to happen.
