The third annual RollerCon already boasts five times the registration numbers it amassed last year and will host roller-derby teams from as far away as New Zealand. Held August 8-12, the bruise-tastic event features nearly 100 seminars, workshops, parties (including nightly shows at the Double Down) and, of course, skating bouts. Can’t make it to all of ’em? Wednesday: Fanbase Care and Feeding lecture. 11 a.m., Imperial Palace’s Pearl Room.
Thursday: Burlesque Show & Skate Gear Fashion Show. 10 p.m., Double Down.
Friday: Black and Blue Ball. 9 p.m., Imperial Palace.
Saturday: Roller Derby & The Law lecture. 3:30 p.m., Imperial Palace’s Fuji Room.
Sunday: Yoga. 9:30 a.m., Imperial Palace pool.
