Ellen DeGeneres Joins Comedy Festival Lineup
Last year’s Comedy Festival included live tapings of both Comic Relief 2006 and A Salute to the Troops and USO; today TBS and The Comedy Festival announced this year’s (first?) televised offering: Ellen’s Really Big Show, a live variety show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres that will tape during the third annual Festival’s November 14-17 run and air November 18 on TBS.
The two-hour special films in Caesars Colosseum and will feature a yet-to-be-announced crop of comedic and musical talent.
“I’m very happy to be working with TBS,” the Emmy winner said. “I usually put two TBS of sugar in my coffee every day, so this is a dream come true for me.”
The release also announced that Caesars’ Palace Ballroom will be renamed The TBS Very Funny Theater during the Festival's duration. Which is not lame in the slightest (What’s next, The AEG Live Augustus Ballroom Guffaw-Room? The Sierra Mist Urinal at Pure?).
