Kiwi singer/songwriter Finn Andrews does his father—original XTC member Barry Andrews—proud on The Veils’ second album, harkening back to the college-rock ’80s of Nick Cave and Morrissey. Palpable emotion is present throughout and, by all accounts, gets even higher billing at the band’s high-energy live performances. –SP
