INGREDIENTS:
2 oz. Stolichnaya Blueberi vodka
1 oz. rock candy syrup
1/2 oz. fresh lime
6-8 blueberries, muddled
No, not Aurora, Illinois; not even Aurora, Colorado. The trippy thing in the sky is what we are sipping on. I have never actually seen the Northern Lights, but when I was in Mexico for about a month we had fresh blueberries every morning, and I realized the locals put lime in everything, not just Pacifico. Here, the blueberry is taken to a whole new level by the sour citrus, the soft juices of the berry balancing with the lime marvelously. The sour and the sweet battle it out, and the palate wins. The muddled blueberries are strained out, but plenty of juice is given just from a handful, and the lime zaps the flavor of both the fresh fruit and the vodka. With a fresh crop of nightlife venues sprouting up in close proximity to this lobby bar, all eyes are on the stars and on Aurora.
