Profile: Since Fleur de Lys opened in September 2004, Chef Hubert Keller has charged Ahnert with creating a seasonal cocktail list to fit his lounge’s romantic, candle-lit ambiance. She has created legions of signature cocktails, most notably the Fleurtini, a delicate, slightly effervescent mix of Pama liqueur, champagne, vodka, apple schnapps and pomegranate juice.

Why I Do What I Do: “In Vegas, you have the opportunity to interact with some of the strangest characters you will ever find anywhere. I took a passion and a hobby and turned it into a lucrative career. I always look forward to going into work.”

Personal Tidbit: Currently Becky is working on a pair of books, one a collection of Sin City cocktails, drawing from bars around town, and the other a compendium of her own recipes. 

Last book read: Nice Girls Don’t Get Rich, by Lois T. Frankel 

Latest Accomplishment: On May 6, Ahnert will say “I do” to John Hayden, the only man she’s ever broken her “I don’t date customers” rule for. The two will catamaran off the Amalfi Coast for their honeymoon.
