Ingredients:
1 oz. Malibu Coconut rum
1 oz. Midori Melon liquor
4 oz. Pineapple juice
Add a float of Stroh 80 rum
Garnish with a stick of
sugar cane
While the dorm room variety is usually an amalgamation of any remaining alcohol bottles found on the floor, jungle juice can actually have a little class while retaining that fruity buzz. Boasting more than 100 rums, Rumjungle has the best variety of the spirit in the city, and its signature drink is also the most popular. Bartender Tony McMurray is credited with creating the drink years back, but it is the “Rummelier’s” job to make sure the quality is maintained. Assistant GM and Rummelier Karl Schwolow offers this advice: “Mix it. It is presented layered for visual appeal, but the Stroh 80 is 160 proof and floating on top. You might not want to taste that first.”
