Welcome letter from the Editor

FROM THE EDITOR Welcome to the new LasVegasWeekly.com!

Adrian Zupp

Over the past several months, a team of very talented professionals has worked hard to develop a Web site that covers Vegas better than any other -- and is a whole lot of fun to visit. In fact, you could say that we’re out to subvert the slogan “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas,” because as well as giving locals all of the “Arts, Culture and Everything Else That Matters,” we want to dish up the details to people all around the country … in fact, around the world.

Better still, LasVegasWeekly.com is an online community -- your online community -- centered on the most exciting city in the world. And you can make that official by going to the “My WeeklyPeeps” section and posting your profile. There you’ll be able to reach out to other profiled members and it won’t cost you a penny.

Or check out the “Las Vegas Voices” part of the site to get perspectives on Southern Nevada (as well as some more universal issues) that you won’t find anywhere else. Whether it’s video gaming or politics, current events or strange happenings, these savvy folks have their thumb on the jugular of Glitter Gulch.

And then there’s Xania, the true Queen of Vegas Nightlife. She’ll clue you in on all of the after-hours “Hot Spots.” Or you can let an animated Xania walk you through her Clubinar episodes, so you’ll know all you need to get the most out of your clubbing experience.

As you cruise the site, you’ll see that we’ve gone heavy on interactivity and visuals. Visuals? One of the jewels in the crown (or should I say four of the jewels?) is our ongoing “Girl On The Street” video series. The very smart, very sexy interview team of Caroline Sol, Marie-Claire (M-C) Lemoine, Krista Simonsen and Denise Delzell have already ignited a buzz around town with their sidewalk shenanigans up and down the Strip.

You’ll also find extensive coverage of News, Arts and Entertainment, and Dining; an Events Calendar where you can post your own event online; a Daily Poll where you can weigh in on the question of the day … and much, much more. LasVegasWeekly.com is informative and entertaining, sexy and savvy, always evolving, and constantly current.

I’d love to hear your thoughts, suggestions and ideas and urge you to send them in. We’re committed to continually improving and evolving LasVegasWeekly.com and truly making it your online community -- so please e-mail me at will. And check out the “About Us” section of the site where you can contact other members of our editorial staff as well.

Welcome!
